Crazy Causation

My decision to get bright mint green nails caused less us to get less business when I went into work the next day. I could tell it would be a slow day based on the energy given off in the atmosphere. The servers were strolling; the hosts greeted the customers in an unenthusiastic manner. The manager was asleep in the back, which is very unusual. Usually, he is running around, yelling at somebody. I immediately try cheering up everyone by smiling and saying hi, but everyone just turned their backs on me and walked away. I even tried changing the music playing to hardcore rock to wake everyone up, but that only made the customers upset. So then even I give up and sit back down. I was doing off when my coworker came in to wake me up. She was as confused as me to see how dead it was in the restaurant. She immediately looked at my green nails and made a disgusted face. She asked me why I got those nails, and I shrugged and said I liked them. I decided to go up and go to the bathroom to splash my face with water and wake up. Little did I know leaving would cause a flood of people to enter the restaurant. My friend stopped me from coming out of the bathroom and told me to stay in so no one would see my green nails.
